Doesn’t spring always feel busy to you? I often feel like spring is when I catch up – with yard work, spring cleaning and home projects. But just because I’m busy, I don’t want to let other important things fall to the wayside. Especially my property tax bill…

In Chicagoland, tax rates and assessments continue to increase and many Chicago business owners don’t know how to lower their property taxes. Fortunately, Advantax offers a service to help businesses specifically in our area – Advantax Chicagoland. We review and manage the upcoming property tax assessment appeals, and represent taxpayers at county board hearings in order to reduce their property taxes. Advantax handles the process and achieves savings so that local business owners can increase their bottom line and focus on running their companies.

Let Advantax take the burden off your hands and lower your property taxes. For more information, visit www.advantaxchicagoland.com.

Let’s take a minute and imagine if the world were different.  What if there were no property taxes? That would certainly make a few folks happier. That would mean no return due dates.  No appeal, assessment, or extension dates.  And definitely no organization required to remember all of those dates.  An interesting dream indeed.

We can’t change the fact that property taxes and all the dates and deadlines exist, and will continue to exist for the foreseeable future.  But we can make it easier for you to remember those important dates with our PropTax Calendar.  The calendar has all the dates in one place, for every state.

For access to the PropTax Calendar, you can check it out on our website.  Or if you’d like a hard copy, feel free to print one off  or we’d be happy to send you a nice glossy copy if you prefer.  We want to make the world a better place, one property tax resource at a time.

It’s not every day you find a property assessor who thinks his own county is overspending…until you meet Rob Mitchell, property assessor of Rutherford County, Tennessee. He wrote a letter to WGNS stating that the county “spent about fifty eight million dollars more than they brought in over the last three years.” And he’s tired of taking the heat for it:

“In the Assessor’s Office we are doing our part. We are correcting injustices, correcting values on properties and making meaningful strides to restore a lost confidence in our department. The real question is why is a three year fifty eight million dollar deficit in County spending not an issue?…”

You can check out the full article here. Kudos for speaking up, Rob Mitchell!
