Summary:

We are a leading national property tax service provider. We offer personal property and real estate tax compliance services as well as consulting services. Our clients include large (Fortune 500) and mid-size organizations that span across a variety of industries. We are looking for candidates who are able to work full-time out of our Elgin, IL office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Organize all received tax bills for assigned clients
  • Find missing tax bills by interfacing with various government databases
  • Identify specific information including payee, amount due and due date
  • Enter tax bill information into Advantax’s compliance processing software
  • Update required process tracking documents
  • Review that information entered matches information received
  • Provide weekly missing tax bill reports
  • Scan tax bills and save to the Advantax server
  • File hard copy bills for future reference
  • Additional responsibilities as necessary, identified by Advantax management
  • Create certified labels for remission of tax payments when required
  • Seasonally assist with entry of tax assessment notices
  • Seasonally assist with tracking of assessor inquiries on Advantax system

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree (minimum) preferred
  • 1-2 years’ previous payables experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Good verbal and written communication ability
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to communicate with jurisdictional representatives when required
  • Strong grasp of basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, Excel, Email)
  • Strong work ethic
  • Exceeding attention to detail
  • Great time management and ability to work independently
  • Little to no tax experience necessary
